Secure Your Spot Tomorrow

As promised - here is the update for today - Tuesday April 15th.

Our site - Unwrapping The Gift of ADD.com goes live tomorrow (Wednesday April 16th 2008) at 12 pm Eastern, 9 am Pacific time.

I’ve recorded a 9 minute video to explain to you how it is going to work.
You see - we have over 4700 people who have downloaded our free report, ‘Find The Genius in ADD’, and are on the VIP notification list. As well, there are many organizations who are mailing their email lists about this tomorrow as well.
Our event is free to attend - and that includes 8 live teleseminar calls - with top ADD/ADHD experts - all with the focus of helping you to unwrap your gift of ADD.
But… we only have 479 free spots open.
So, you’ll need to visit our site tomorrow at 12 pm EDT or 9 am PDT to secure your spot.

Watch this video where I explain all of the details:

I look forward to ’seeing you’ on our teleseminar series which starts on Monday April 21st at 8 pm EDT/5 pm PDT.

  1. Dear Doctor:

Wow, I guess I found you just at the right time. Actually I received a hit on your internet site just because my 6-year old’s doctor in Toronto just prescribed a new RX for him and I was exploring what the benefits may be with the RX - and your site popped up.

I hope that I am one of the lucky ones to get a free spot tomorrow.

Thank you once again for forwarding me your Special Report - I look forward to learning more of a positive outlook for myself and my son - cause I am finding it quite difficult to work with him as we find the correct medication to help him with his ADD.

Be well and good luck tomorrow!!

    Aileen

  2. Well I’m sitting here crying as I listen to this broadcast. There are so many people who want to be part of the teleseminar because they NEED help. VERY few of the total number of people will actually be able to be part of it. Of course I’m hoping to be one of them. As for being able to purchase the recordings - I am wondering if I will be able to afford it.
I recently discovered I have Adult ADD - I haven’t even been able to find a Dr. that specializes in Adult ADD. The Hollowell center said I should contact the state or local psychology association. They were happy to tell me they didn’t have that information and I should call the local group, they suggested that I call my local hospitals… who told me they don’t know….
After not working for 2 years to help my ill mother I must find a job… Now I realize why my previous jobs were so frustrating - I had to do everything ADD people have a hard time doing!!! So now I need to find a better path….
I am obviously very frustrated in all the brick walls and not knowing what to do next.
With all that in mind I hope the recordings are priced so everyone that needs them will be able to purchase them. I know I do.

  3. I am very please with the information shared on your site. I have a Master degree in neuropsychology and I have working as a school psychologist in a High School setting. In my job, I often have to diagnose adolescent with ADD as the source of their learning and behavior problems. However, as I work in the province of Quebec, in a french setting, I can not use this very valuable information. Do you have a french extension of your site or would it be possible to obtain authorization to translate some of your articles, specially information that can be shared with an adolescent to explain in clear and simple wording what is going on with them, that they are not going mentally sick and that winning strategies can be used so they can compete with equal tools with the world around them. Also unfortunate, because of so few available information in french, even teachers of these kid do not believe the hell like problems these youth have to go through in a day : for many teachers, I am seen as an “alien from another planet” when I talk about ADD. In fact, people consider these ADD (without H) youths) as lazy persons who want to have everything without doing nothing. My recommendation to use music while doing seat work in class was perceived as giving the most wanted gift to the more unpleasant student in a classroom.

I really need the information on your site to be available in french. I am prepared to translate myself, with authorisation, some of this information, particularly on learning problems and parenting advice.

    Thank you for reading me,

  4. I can’t wait to log back on tomorrow. My son is 7 1/2 and he is suffering quite a bit with this ADHD.

  5. please secure my spot

  6. Thanks Dr. Kenny. I am so excited about the potential of FINALLY helping my struggling 30 year old son. He is also reading the info, I am just his agent in all this. It is just wonderful to finally have someone understand what I have known in my heart all along about ADD. See you tomorrow. Hopeful.

  7. what happens with those who are not one of the 479?

  8. Sounds wonderful and exciting - on the heels of the Oprah international education project with E. Tolle, why only 479 slots?

Had to get that out of the way.

The ADHD Coaches Association is a natural partner for this type of education. It’s an international organization that promotes support and the genius of ADHD. It is specific to the crux of the matter - support of the genius of people with ADHD. What can I do to make the connection between you and ACO?

Since your tool will be strength based, will coaches be able to use the diagnostic tool as a gift to our clients? Will a medical DX be required?

    Sincerely

  9. I do not know if by doing this that my spot is secured guess I’ll have to do some e-mailing and find out what to do next.

  10. Maureen,

I have to say I’m overwhelmed at how well “they” have set this up for those who are obviously desperate to reframe their AD/HD as something positive if dealth with from the accomplishments viewpoint instead of the negative one (The Rose blossom, not only the thorns).

Congratulations Kenny and Ned for giving a huge boost to the view of AD/HD as a difference not an incurrable defect or disease. I remember Dr. Hallowell in one of his ADDA speeches talking about the average experience of someone who comes out of the Drs. office, head down, having just being given a “life sentence” of some brain disorder that can’t be cured but only treated and feeling as if they have no potential. Yes, the paradigm needs shifting to focusing more of how great it can be to live with a brain that thinks differently and the amazing results that can bring into someone’s life if the emphasis is put on health and wellness and not continually framed as a (near) moral defect which is some incurable brain disorder which will continue to mess up their lives and the best they can do is take medication.

We AD/HD coaches and many others begin from the viewpoint that positive change is possible. Otherwise we would have no reason to exist. As a group, I fantasize that AD/HD coaches are group wtih a nearly 100% positive view of our client’s potential and our job is finding those “gifts” without always emphasising what’s “wrong”. Perhaps that’s a bit professional egotism, but I don’t know many coaches who do not help clients to find their special talents and naturally good selves.

Thank you Dr. Kenny and Ned and Peter, Sari, Linda A. and all those who are helping make this a reality for those so hungry for some positive news.

  11. Dear Drs,

Wow - there has to be some divine intervention or karma working here — a friend of mine forwarded this to me today and I am so excited that this is being recognized. I just finished watching (well, I should say attempt at lipreading) your 6 min. VLOG and also reading these comments. I am also having difficulty finding a specialist to help me with my adult ADD (non hyperactivity).

My case has a little twist. I am a 50-some yr old female that happened to start researching ADD both for myself after suspecting that my “gifted” adult son has been ADD all along - which is not unusual. However, in my case, I feel that my ADD growing up was masked (or “excused”?) by my profound deafness from the age of 15 months, went undiagnosed because of that, and now the ADD is affecting my life in many ways that has nothing to do with my deafness. While in school - I was always “labeled” as Deaf or Hearing Impaired and that was the root of “whatever problems or differences in thought”. I am a visual learner and non-linear thinker - preferring to think in pictures or concepts, yet manage to love and do well in the public school system with the “sink or swim” coping strategies I developed for myself.

I always prided myself as an adult, parent, and professional in being able to multitask, but, truth be told, I get distracted easily, do not complete tasks unless I make effort to really concentrate. The flip side is then that I sometimes hyperfocus on some things ad nauseum. For the sake of reasonable accomodations, I hope that you can at least provide me with a written transcript so that I can sort myself out here. :) Thanks!!

  12. I look forward to participating in your project.
I hope to be one of the lucky “479″ tomorrow.

  13. Doctor

Iam happy to find this information
    looking forward tomorrow april 16th.

  14. I have a standing client at 9 am CA time but would like to hear this. Will you offer it again, or will you archive it, or ??? Thanks! Sheila McCurdy

  15. OK I am feeling pretty stupid! Considering we are all doing this with ADD - I’m not sure I even know how to sign up for this teleclass… I feel like there is alot of repeat information that is good but making it confusing!

  16. Hi,
Thank you all for your comments and enthusiasm!
    Wow!
This is a much bigger response than we even expected.

Answers to a couple of the questions above:

    1) Someone asked how to sign up - you will need to go to this site tomorrow at 12 pm Eastern Time, 9 am Pacific time:
    http://www.unwrappingthegiftofadd.com

    2) A number of people are asking what will happen when the 479 spots fill up - i.e. will people get locked out?

I have to say - that when we arranged for the 479 slots - we thought that would be plenty!
As it turns out - it seems there will likely be a much bigger demand.
At this point - all I can say is that one of the organizing principles of this event is to get the information out there and include as many people as we can.
Tomorrow - if we need to - we’ll have to see if we can get additional lines or spots. We’ll be in touch.
    Thanks for your enthusiasm.
    Dr. Kenny

  17. And Thank You Dr. Kenny for all your hard work and dedication!

  18. Thanks for your report. I love the way you conceptualize the move from a moral to a medical to a strength-based diagnosis. And I’m happy you’re taking steps to get the word out to as many people as possible. I’ll put the info up on my infant blog about life with ADD.

I’d LOVE to take part in the teleseminar as well. But I’m taking my daughter and other kids to a djembe perfomance they’re doing tomorrow at sign-up time. And, as a divorced parent of a lively kiddo, it’s hard to imagine sitting and concentrating for an hour or more all those evenings in a row.

I see (well, hear, I guess) that you plan to make recordings and transcripts available as well. However, a high price would also keep me from benefitng from the seminars. So, as a divorced mom with ADD, I’m down on my knees, pleading for a really affordable price on the recordings!

Thanks so much for your work!

  19. Dr.’s Hallowell and Handelman,

Thank you for giving the world this opportunity to learn from the leading specialists in ADD! I am writing from Pakistan where we are nine hours ahead of ET. Due to the time difference and long distance costs, it is unlikely that I would be able to take part in the live event. So I won’t take up one of those precious 479 spots.

Learning differences are as prevalent here as elsewhere, but there is little awareness, and considerable stigma attached to perceived disabilities.

I am hoping that you will make the recordings and/or transcripts available free of charge on this site for those of us that are unable to listen in on the live event.

Thank you both again and God bless!
    Andrea

  20. Hi Andrea,
    Thank you for your comment.
The time difference can obviously be a concern - however, some of our spots are for people to listen streaming over the internet - i.e. there is no long distance phone charge…. Just so you know.
    Dr. Kenny

  21. Thank you for explaining the 479 spot dilemma. The hunger for services has apparently overwhelmed your anticipated interest. My ADD brain wired my thoughts immediately to the international aspect of Oprah’s E. Tolle book, and just ‘assumed’ (sigh) that your big news was equal to the impact of her work, and that you had access to her world-wide electronic network. Frankly the series you’ve organized is equal to Tolle’s book. You offer a truly life changing opportunity for people to listen to some of the best speakers on ADD in the country.

I also jumped to the conclusion due to your wonderful PR that what you had to share was on the level of a national reorganization of the ADD diagnosis process. Wow! I believe you are not only genius in action, have access to the world and have influence over the diagnostic process.

Since I am an ADD coach, I will not sign up for these events - I do not want to compete with someone who is newly diagnosed and desperately needs your information.

I hope there will be recordings available by link later on.

Thank you for your work in the ADD field, and for your creatively organized (inter)national access to ADD information.

  22. Unfortunately my computer was down yesterday so I was not aware that I had to be checking in at 11:00 central time to get a spot for the teleseries. Please include me if at all possible, as it would be very important for me to learn as much more as i can about the giftsof ADHD, as opposed to the problems.

  23. Hi Kathleen,
Great news - at this time - you can still register.
We have been able to keep registrations open - because of using ‘webcast’ technology (i.e. being able to connect via your internet connection).
As of this morning - April 17th, we can still take registrations.
    Thanks,
    Dr. Kenny

  24. I’ve tried to register, but I’m not sure if I got it right. Am I registered?
